Innovations are the heart of the medical field keeping it alive and going.  Contributions are chipped in by various sources across the globe. The contributors are not only from the medical field but also from many other domains like physics, chemistry, biotechnology, information technology and so on. 

Many of these innovations are approached from their own domain perspective making it fall short of better use in clinical practice or not accessible to all. Understandably these are not deliberate but due to lack of understanding the needs of each innovation.

A physicist and a physician do not sit across the table and decide the clinical need, rather the clinicians are asked to modify their clinical practice according to what is being offered to them. This is the reason many advances in other fields have not transferred meaningfully to medical practice. This could be solved only if the medical professionals themselves initiate the process of scientific communication with other domain specialists and demand what they need to be delivered.

The challenge in the interaction between the experts is the transfer of the thought process of one domain expert to the other in a language the other domain expert understands. Understanding the jargon of each other is a real challenge. This needs proactive involvement of the clinicians to try and learn the jargon and basics of the experts with whom they are discussing the concepts. Expecting an engineer or a data scientist to learn clinical science is not pragmatic as the clinical knowledge is not simply based on texts. It is a science of probabilities based on certain principles and practice. Interpretation of the clinical data is not as straight forward as it is done in engineering or chemistry.

Observing this phenomenon over the decades enabled the conceptualization and conceiving of the Cephalobits Incorporation in 2017.

Cephalobits believe collective wisdom is better than an individual one. The same applies when some solutions are attempted for clinical demands.

The fourth industrial revolution is taking up by storm every aspect of science and technology. The key component of this artificial intelligence is making its inroad into health care in a big way. The present upsurge in data handling and the availability of the exponential computational ability is impacting the health care industry.The extend of this impact is to be seen in clinical practice but would not take long to reach.

Cephalobits have decided to use this upsurge for the benefit of making health care accessible, affordable and accountable. Bridging the expertise from various fields would be more rewarding than trying to brood and breed within a single domain. The technical world has proven that it is an inescapable reality to accept and assimilate information technology to see any upward movement of any given field. Cephalobits took this wise decision to engage with data science to fill up what the clinician is looking for in his day to day practice.

The challenge in bridging of various fields is the difficulty, deficiency and disparity in the communication between them due to the lack of understanding of the abilities and limitations of each other’s techniques. This is capably resolved by equipping the medical domain experts with knowledge in machine learning and deep learning algorithms. This has propelled our ongoing projects beyond belief by slicing down the time loss in decision making. All our projects are radical and tend to make a paradigm shift in healthcare delivery. The core of all the projects is to make health care accessible and affordable.
